Hall reserves travelled to Castle Camps with the bare minimum of players and suffered another disappointing defeat.
It was a game that was largely overshadowed by a completely ridiculous referee that went out of his way to ensure that he was the centre of attention at all times, baffling both sides with bizarre decisions and constant whistle blowing and stoppages.
Unfortunately regardless of the referee the performance simply wasn't good enough going forwards with Hall rarely threatening to create goalscoring chances.
The game looked to be heading for 0-0 but opened up with 20 minutes left after a nasty late challenge on Townsin saw him carried off and Mildenhalls lack of depth was exposed. After this chances came for both sides and a very good instinctive save kept out a Trevor Hewitt flick before Dom Mould cleared from the goal line at the other end.
The home side started to look dangerous and got their reward with 10 to play stabbing home after a scramble in the box.
Mildenhall looked for an equaliser and finally put the ball in the net in injury time but quite predictably the referee was to have the final mark on the game and ruled the goal out apparently for a push in the box while the header was contested.
Yet again the Reserves found themselves losing a game against opposition that they should comfortably beat but again it came down to effort, spirit and available players
Man of the Match was Dennis Preston who kept them at bay and deserved a clean sheet
